Remembering My First Visit to Dublin…

Last summer I made one of the best trips of my life. I already knew before visiting Dublin that there would be plenty to do there, but I was unprepared for just how beautiful the city is. Even in the rain, the cobbled streets and archaic buildings have a unique charm, so that even though it’s no trouble getting a taxi, you will be tempted to walk your way around the city simply to enjoy being in its streets.

From parliament buildings to wax-work museums, just as in any capital city there is a whole host of activities to suit any person. Unsurprisingly, what the attraction which stood out most in this trip was the visit to the Guinness Factory. Since Ireland is famous for this beer, a great amount of effort has gone into showing tourists exactly what goes in to making this heavenly stout. From explaining the process of making the beer, to the history of Arthur Guinness and his family, and even up to showing some of the more famous advertising techniques that have been used over the years, a visit to the Guinness Factory is sure not to disappoint. Of course, the highlight of a visit here is sampling one of the many varieties of Guinness available!

While anyone would want to spend some time in an Irish pub, you must make sure you try as much food as possible when you are in Dublin. From traditional hearty meals to a sophisticated three-course dining experience, every single variety of food is on your doorstep. Portions are almost always generous, and it’s difficult to think of somewhere else where you are pretty much always guaranteed high quality food no matter what the price.

Even though I only managed to stay a few days in Dublin, this is definitely somewhere which I would recommend and which I would visit again. If you have visited Dublin yourself and have a particular tourist attraction or restaurant to recommend, please do let people know in the comment section!
